Before joining L.E.K., I completed an intensive case interview training program that greatly enhanced my skills and provided me with a deep understanding of the process. During my time at L.E.K., I was entrusted with dual roles: serving as a case coach for candidates invited to interviews and acting as an interviewer on numerous occasions. As an interviewer, I observed a recurring trend where students from the same institution often approached cases in similar, predictable ways (e.g., "Of course, students from XYZ school will say Y"). I am also very aware of what consulting organizations primarily look for in each round. As a case coach, I bring two key strengths to my approach. First, I excel at rapidly upskilling candidates by customizing the process to their unique strengths. While it took me about 25 cases to feel confident, I’ve developed strategies to significantly shorten that learning curve for others, enabling them to feel and sound highly competent much faster. Second, I focus on helping candidates present themselves authentically, creating a more sustainable and effective interview experience and empowering them to truly master the case interview process, and the overall application and resume process.
