Brent’s Management Consulting Qualifications
Experience level: Associate
20+ people coached for Management Consulting
I've helped people land jobs at Bain, McK, and BCG, including cross-offers! And offers to Deloitte, LEK, and Accenture. I've led dozens of case interviews in interviewer roles at Bain and as a coach. I’ll never forget the coach (Sam!) who taught me the ropes of a case interview. I wanted a consulting internship, and he was a senior who had just completed the internship. Since then, one of my favorite things through years of consulting was coaching others in a similar way. At Bain, I mostly worked on short and quick cases, which means I’ve done a LOT of them! This has helped me as a coach in the past because I’ve seen a lot of different ways to crack a case, across many different industries. I spent 6 months of my time at Bain fully focused on developing an in-house coaching program, so I know a thing or two about how to coach a consultant or aspiring consultant. I’m excited to partner with you and get to know you!

About Brent
I grew up playing sports (baseball, anyone?) and value coaching, being a good teammate, and looking for ways to help others win. After my professional sports aspirations fizzled out (still hoping my shoulder can un-tear itself!), I turned to management consulting and startups. Thankfully, I found the same values within my teams there! I get energy from learning how the world works, whether that be through tinkering with a new project or understanding a new industry. So far in my career, my biggest development area that coaches have helped me with is speaking with confidence, even amidst uncertainty. I've loved paying it forward by helping others find their voice, too!
Why do I coach?
I wrote my MBA admissions essay about coaching - that’s how much it matters to me. My life has been shaped by coaches and teammates who have impacted me, from overcoming performance anxiety and self-doubt to mastering the consulting analyst's toolkit. My best coaches related my situation to their own past experiences and built real trust between us. Following these role models, I've seen myself as a player-coach in the teams and communities I belong to. For me, it's the most fulfilling and energy-inducing thing that I can do!
