With ten years of experience in postsecondary access, I'm skilled at building connections with students and delivering information about college. I'm confident that my dynamic skill set in communication, workshops, and adaptability make me an excellent candidate for this role. I have a bachelor's degree in history and a master's degree in higher and postsecondary education, so I understand the importance of meeting the needs of all students. I have a proven track record of success in advising, recruiting, and building partnerships with corporations and organizations. As the current College Access Counselor and Robinhood Partnership Coordinator, I have been responsible for developing and leading a comprehensive student recruitment and admissions strategy. I have successfully recruited and advised over 50 students annually. I have also delivered presentations, workshops, and other initiatives to promote the college and its programs to international audiences. I have also managed the admissions process, from inquiry to enrollment, for prospective students who are undocumented, justice-impacted, and have GED/HSE. I have maintained an 86% successful matriculation rate. Once students are complete with my services, they do well in college or at a university. I aim to address students' concerns and customize my college admissions strategies to fit every student's campus interests and academic goals.

About Ayeisha

13-42-71 While most colleges have an expectation of students graduating college in four years, I took me thirteen years to obtain a Bachelor’s degree. Only forty two percent of African Americans has a Bachelor’s and only seventy one percent of Black women has a Masters. I own both. My alma maters are Grambling State University and Columbia University. I say all of this because it’s never too late to get an education or achieve your overall goals. I have over eleven years of advising adults and youth about lift after high school. My purpose is to help you goal set, inspire, motivate, and energize you to focus on successful outcomes. I had others help me with this process. It’s time for me to turn it around for you.

Why do I coach?

I coach for two reasons: I was called to do so, and it takes a village. I counsel people to help them navigate options. At one point, people supported me. I am first generation and had to learn everything on my own. Managing personal struggles and goals was difficult, but I made it by pushing through and having others help me. I want to pay it forward by supplying tools for people planning their future. I give a safe space to discuss postsecondary issues and set goals.
