Why do I coach?

My purpose is to support individuals in permanently rediscovering who they truly are. In doing so my aim is that they are able to build *meaningful* careers, that happen to be succesful, rather than careers that appear successful externally, but feel empty inside. During the pandemic in 2021, I needed to take care of my parents. I found myself doing my corporate job remotely at the same desk, in the same room, in which I had completed all my highschool studies. Having traveled the world in the interim, building a exciting and varied career -- it occured to me in this moment that the more things had changed, the more they had stayed the same. Starting at the pen scratches made in the desk at 1AM preparing for a test I did not feel was meaninful in highschool, I now was building a deck that I knew was not meaningful to me at the exact same time. What had I lost? I had lost my spirit of service, and perhaps, even, lost the conviction that an authentic spirit of service and care was compatible with the ambition and drive of the business world. I committed to integrating volunteering and service back into my life on a regular basis. This lead me to serve a leading coaching and developing organization named Upbuild (upbuild.com) -- where I certified as both a life coach and Ennegram practioner. Along the way, I learned, that in my heart of hearts, I am meant to learn, teach, and guide others towards their better (and best selves).
