Hello! A little bit about myself--I'm a healthcare strategist with a passion for anything writing, analysis, and research oriented. I've been helping students from a wide range of backgrounds--from data science to pre-med to MBA programs and more--for almost 10 years now (ad hoc) with their admissions essays and other writing assignments. I've helped several students get into their dream schools and I want to help you achieve your goals through the power of the pen. I studied at Yale School of Public Health and the Yale School of Management for my MPH degree, and Rutgers for my undergrad, where I majored in writing intensive and analytical driven majors (political science and planning and public policy). I currently use my writing and analysis skills in my job and my previous roles, and have been working for nearly 8 years now.

In addition to her undergraduate admissions experience, Kelly has also read and evaluated thousands of graduate applications as well as served as an academic advisor. At the Stanford Graduate School of Education, Kelly was a one-person operation, overseeing all aspects of graduate admissions operations, application reviews and academic advising for prospective students. Kelly reviewed 3,400+ graduate applications annually and uses that experience when guiding students in developing their graduate school narratives, research plans, strategic school lists, and crafting their personal statements to fit their specific schools of interest. During Kelly’s career in admissions, she reviewed applications from around the world as well as the US, in all majors, as well as BFA, MFA, and joint degree programs in Education and Law, and Business and Public Policy.

I served on the Admissions Committee at Carnegie Mellon for the MSCF Program (heavy in data science, ML, stats, math, and finance) as a representative from Career Services. As part of the committee, I evaluated hundreds of candidate materials - including CVs, application essays, video interviews, and conducted some interviews. By sitting on the committee, I also learned what faculty were looking for in coursework, academic rigor, and grades from candidates. In total, I've spent 10 years coaching Masters and PhD applicants (both those fresh from undergrad and those looking to pivot careers) research programs, prepare essays & CVs, connect with alumni & industry professionals, refine their portfolio, and upskill to prepare for admission into competitive programs. I'll help you understand the different programs' requirements and help you manage multiple applications in one cycle - while ensuring you're aligning your interests, materials, and skills with programs that will get you closer to your career goals. My approach is direct, adaptable, supportive, plus Autistic- and ADHD-friendly: mitigating anxiety and minimizing the overwhelm that comes with navigating graduate admissions on top of the rest of your life. I take a highly supportive approach to coaching and aim to create an environment in which my clients can be completely open about their worries so I can be the best possible coach for them. That said, you can expect me to be constructively candid – because coaching is about challenging you and accelerating your growth, not making you feel good so I can collect a check. Besides sitting on both Northwestern's and Stanford's alumni admissions councils, I was an interviewer at Google and Meta, so I've spent many hours "on the other side of the table" and can give you a strong sense for how you might be perceived by interviewers and admissions committees. I enjoy coaching people from a huge range of backgrounds, but I specialize in coaching folks from lower-income families, LGBTQ+ candidates, and those who need extra help crafting their personal narrative.

With an MBA from Oxford's Said Business School and a Master in Public Policy from Oxford's Blavatnik School of Government, I bring a blend of business acumen and public policy insight to my coaching. My professional journey includes roles at Bain & Company, The Global Fund, and the Inter-American Development Bank, where I focused on finance and strategy. I successfully coached various individuals in completing their master's program applications for Oxford and other US schools, and also coach students in undergraduate applications process.
