My experience includes managing teams of nuclear-trained personnel and developing innovative solutions in high-stakes environments. I have a strong background in engineering from the United States Naval Academy, where I also contributed to the development of a new Data Science curriculum. With a Master of Public Health from New York University and extensive experience in global public health initiatives, I am well-equipped to guide you through the complexities of master's program applications. Through my 5 years at the MIT Communication Lab, I have coached over 50 students on applying for graduate studies (MS and PhD). Many of my students have been admitted into the top programs, which include MIT, Harvard, Stanford, Caltech, Oxbridge, etc. I'm very familiar with the application process, the essays required, and the narrative necessary to craft a compelling application.

I help applicants connect their background, work, and goals into authentic MBA application narratives. I went from rural Virginia to Intuit to Stanford GSB and now Chief of Staff at a pioneering nonprofit. At GSB, I focused on social entrepreneurship and piloted a wellness marketplace for underserved BIPOC communities. I've successfully navigated applications through Consortium and beyond. I'm particularly effective with applicants transitioning between corporate tech and social impact, discussing personal challenges authentically, or coming from underrepresented backgrounds. I'm new to professional coaching but have years of mentoring experience through my Spark scholarship program and bring fresh perspective from recently completing this process myself.

Grad student at Stanford thanks to a full-ride scholarship. Wide experience on applications to grad school, grad school tests (GRE and GMAT), applications to management consulting (McKinsey), investment banking (Morgan Stanley) and startups. Hello! A little bit about myself--I'm a healthcare strategist with a passion for anything writing, analysis, and research oriented. I've been helping students from a wide range of backgrounds--from data science to pre-med to MBA programs and more--for almost 10 years now (ad hoc) with their admissions essays and other writing assignments. I've helped several students get into their dream schools and I want to help you achieve your goals through the power of the pen. I studied at Yale School of Public Health and the Yale School of Management for my MPH degree, and Rutgers for my undergrad, where I majored in writing intensive and analytical driven majors (political science and planning and public policy). I currently use my writing and analysis skills in my job and my previous roles, and have been working for nearly 8 years now.

As a Surface Warfare Officer in the US Navy, I've developed the leadership and crisis-management skills I now use to guide you calmly through every stage of the application process. As a private tutor with Varsity Tutors, I've worked with over 300 students, and the most important thing I've learned is that no two applicants are the same. I tailor my coaching to your story, your strengths, and your goals, whether that means refining your application strategy. My approach to coaching comes from lived experience, not theory. I recently navigated the graduate admissions process myself and earned offers from the following top programs: The University of Toronto Masters of Science in Applied Computing, Carnegie Mellon Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence Engineering, Columbia Dual MBA/Executive MS: Engineering & Applied Science, UC Berkeley Electric Engineering & Computer Sciences Master of Engineering, and Carnegie Mellon Master of Science in Machine Learning program. I have confirmed my decision to attend the Machine Learning program at Carnegie Mellon this fall. Before that, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from UT Austin with a 3.96 GPA in Computer Science. I know firsthand what it takes to build a compelling application because I have done it across both technical and business programs. My strength is narrative strategy. I help you identify the through line in your experiences, position your story for the specific program type you are targeting, and write essays that are punchy, defensible, and free of inflated claims. Beyond admissions, I bring real-world credibility as someone that has worked at startups, big companies, and nonprofits as well as research experience. I will give you honest assessments, not validation, and I will work with you draft by draft until every word earns its place.

Because I've accomplished what my students are seeking, my students tend to respect and listen to my advice. I understand STEM students far better than any generic coach. I know the application and application review process inside-out and I'm an award-winning writer who makes my students' personal and statement of purpose essays shine with authentic, attention-grabbing narratives.
