Hi! It's super nice to meet you - My name is Michelle and I'm an incoming BA at McKinsey. I’ve been through the recruiting process at Bain (R1 + R2), BCG (R1), McKinsey, and L.E.K., ultimately receiving offers from McKinsey & Company and L.E.K. Consulting. I’ve also worked in a private equity mega-fund (Permira), bulge bracket investment banking (Barclays), and T2 consulting (L.E.K.), with experience spanning TMT, Energy, Industrials, and Consumer. Through these experiences, I’ve developed a practical understanding of the nuances of each industry (buyside, sellside, consulting) and its interview processes, and particularly what it takes to succeed at each stage of the consulting recruiting process — from building a strong application to preparing for behavioral and case interviews. The first time I interviewed with MBB, I bombed: I didn't understand what it would take to adequately prepare for case interviews, and was limited to reading Case in Point in my room.
