I was fortunate enough to have had Lorenzo as an advisor through the Driven Academics program. He was there to guide me through the college application process and aided me in writing college application essays that would convey my emotions and experiences while portraying myself as a driven, disciplined individual. Having a mentor like Lorenzo was a valuable resource for first generation students like me that would otherwise have had nobody else to turn to. With Lorenzo’s help I was accepted into Harvard as a member of the class of 2023! Once I started attending Harvard, Lorenzo continued to check in with me as a friend and as a mentor to see if I needed help with scholarships or internship/job applications. After graduating, Lorenzo guided me through 3 rounds of interviews for a position as a software engineer at Apple. Again, something that was extremely valuable to someone who otherwise knew very few people that have made it into company like Apple. Working with Lorenzo has always been a great experience as I always felt comfortable to ask questions or give my own opinions. Ultimately, Lorenzo became a great a mentor and friend!

During my college application process, Jason helped me through the process of writing my essays. He was excellent at talking me through my narrative and helping me find ways in which I was unique from other applicants. His communication was also very clear and professional.

College applications were a stressful and dreaded time for me. I had the privilege of receiving crucial and helpful advice from Isamar Vega. On late notice, I contacted Isamar to ask if she could review and provide constructive feedback. Isamar did not disappoint. She shared detailed and holistic advice on my college essays. Isamar also went above and beyond and provided advice regarding my GPA, extracurriculars, and volunteering. I completed more than fifteen applications all thanks to Isamar’s thoughtful advice. I recommend others work with Isamar!

I applied to Duke University, Jason's alma mater, a year after he did. During my application process, Jason helped me more than anyone else. He gave excellent advice on my essays, helped me gain a deep understanding and appreciation for Duke's academic and social culture, and took time out of his day to regularly check up on me and give me pointers through each step of the application process. I can honestly say that nobody else assisted me as much as Jason did, both in regards to time and effort, and I credit a large part of my success in both the application process and as a current Duke undergraduate to Jason's careful and thoughtful advice. Jason would be a great fit at Leland and anyone receiving his guidance ought to consider themselves extremely lucky.

I can't thank Priscilla enough for her exceptional support during my internship application process with Golden Gate Park. From the moment I reached out, Priscilla went above and beyond to assist me every step of the way. She meticulously reviewed my resume, offering valuable insights and suggestions that undoubtedly made it stand out. Moreover, her interview preparation was exceptional; thanks to her guidance, I felt confident and well-prepared, and it clearly showed during the interview. The mentors were impressed with my responses, which were a direct result of Priscilla's thorough coaching. Her dedication and expertise truly made a difference, and I'm thrilled to say that I landed the internship! Priscilla is not just amazing; she's an indispensable asset to anyone seeking guidance and support in their professional endeavors

As a first-generation student, I was worried about where I would stand on my journey into higher education. Isamar guided me extensively, not only with my University of California application but also with my Private University application. Her help reflected on my admissions, having been accepted to Emerson College, Temple, University, University of California Merced, University of California Davis, and University of Santa Cruz. The work we accomplished together allowed for my options to open up, having a handful of amazing institutions to choose from.

The motivation and empathy and knowledge Priscilla has in helping others to excel in education is inspiring. Especially if you come from being the first person ever going to college, university. It’s hard to have that motivation and guidance. She shares her knowledge for others to be successful and walks you through the process finds resources. She also helped me find with advice in how to continue to grow in my career and education

Lindsay is an incredible mentor and leader! Lindsay listens thoughtfully to struggles and roadblocks and helps create new interesting ways to tackle them. She is motivating and direct while also being incredibly kind and caring. Having Lindsay as a coach is like having a breath of fresh air and gaining a true partner in your career journey.

By far one of the best mentors, coaches, teammates and overall humans I have ever had the pleasure of partnering with! Lindsay combines decades of experience with an empathetic approach to really help her clients and their businesses grow. Lindsay is a force of positive energy that is contagious. Her calm demeanor, inclusiveness, forward-thinking approach, leadership ability, and resourcefulness are all strong skills that will help anyone succeed.
