When I started working with Ben, I had been in the US Navy for almost four years and thought I had it all figured out (I didn't). But rather than point that out (or how ridiculous that was), Ben just smiled and asked me what my goals were, using pointed questions to help me see where I had described something in vague or unmeasurable terms, helping me fill in the blanks.
