Based on my long-time observation of her professional growth, I strongly recommend Sophia as an MBA coach: Sophia is very familiar with the requirements and strategies of applying for MBA programs. During her time at Stanford, she was highly involved in hosting online and in-person admissions events, as well as welcoming new students to campus as an MBA Ambassador and peer mentor. Many applicants have benefitted from her coaching expertise and gotten into top MBA programs, such Stanford, HBS, and LBS. She is an energetic, thoughtful speaker and team leader. She worked at a fintech startup for 4 years as a marketing leader, building a team from scratch, and has just started her own company to solve major healthcare challenges.

Spencer embodies the value that management consultants have to offer: from breaking down business problems to driving high impact from the insights and analyses. His experience in leading large scale transformations and strategy studies make him one of the best managers the firm had to offer. I would seek his guidance to learn more about management consulting and building business acumen.

Spencer walked me through the MBB interview process. I ended up going a different route (Medical School), but the strategies he taught me were incredibly helpful for the interview process and helped me land a spot at a top 20 medical school.

Jan’s coaching was instrumental in my journey towards securing offers from McKinsey, BCG and Bain. His experience as interviewer allowed him to provide highly specific and actionable feedback and tailor further practice. I couldn’t have achieved this success without his expertise and support.

Because I am high functioning Autistic and I work in a field that is somewhat of a niche area, my circumstances regarding my career can be unique at times. As such, the career advice I get tends to be limited in its utility. Sometimes, it is further hampered by people who either do not understand or appreciate that they do not know what they do not know, or simply aren't good at asking me questions that are helpful. Being Autistic can exacerbate that last issue as I am literally wired differently than most people. Barbara Anne's extensive experience in multiple sectors and with the Neurodiverse population has made her an exception. She has been advising me since 2017. While I rarely feel she restricting herself by being narrow-minded, she also is good at steering the focus to the proper essential elements. On the rare occasion that she is offbase, she is very receptive to feedback and suggestion and asks questions to get back on track. It helps that the questions that she asks, whether to get back on track or figure out a pathway forward, are stated and followed up on in a way that both forces me to think things through, but also gently keeps me in the right direction. If she needs to give negative feedback, she is rarely anything other than constructive and non-judgemental. As a person on the Autism spectrum, this can be an issue as I have had trained therapists go off on me and/or ask inappropriate questions. I also have been openly discriminated against by people who have extensive supervisory civil rights experience and, in many cases, are a member of at least one protected class. To simply be treated with basic respect and listened to, then helped in a constructive manner tends to be the exception, not the rule for people on the Autism Spectrum. Rarer still is advice that is useful beyond a very general level. Forget working in a niche field. A lot of people with my disability are unemployed, not because they cannot do the work, but because of the attitude/behavior of interviewers or the behavior of employers when hired. Ignorance is understandable, but a lot of this ignorance is coupled with an inflexibility. It has been helpful on both a career level, and on a personal level in general, to have someone who is the antithesis of that.

Salah is the King of Coaching! He takes a very balanced approach in both seeing the big picture and the details of the matter at hand. This allows for him to remove the "mental boundaries" we put on ourselves but also come up with actionable next steps for growth and problem solving. His depth and breath of experience in people and project management is exceptional. He always approaches coaching with an open mind as a great listener, and humility as an empathetic supporter.
