Melody is the top-tier coach, product manager, and empathic listener. She is brilliant, open-minded, and always supportive. Over the past 5 years, Melody and I have been doing monthly personal development sessions. Melody has coached me through some of the toughest times in my life, and she has been a critical part of my successes over the past 5 years: successes in my personal life and in my career as a Software Engineer at a top technology company. In that time she coached me on professional topics such as: career strategy, increasing impact, productivity, managing up, work stress, and work-life balance. supplementary: Melody and I used to also work together at a company called, EmployeeChannel; during that time, Melody worked as the Head of Product & Design. Carlos was my most influential mentor during college. At UC Irvine, he was the lead of my design team at a student organization to build websites for non-profits in Southern California. Being a designer on his team prepared me to enter the professional design world. Not only did he guide me and my team through the end-to-end human-centered design process, he mentored me personally on my design portfolio and gave me advice on seeking design roles.
