Military and veteran applicants can be among the most compelling in the entire business school applicant pool, bringing leadership experience, decision-making under pressure, and strategic planning capabilities that few of their peers can match. But the application process presents real challenges that traditional applicants from finance, consulting, and tech don't face: envisioning a post-MBA career path with limited exposure to the business world, navigating deployments and ETS timelines, and translating military experience into language that resonates with admissions committees.
This event demystifies the process with an end-to-end roadmap for milvet applicants, from deciding to apply to receiving your acceptance letter. It's the first in a series of events built around the seven stages of MDMP, offering frameworks and unique insights to help milvet applicants bring the same level of rigor to the MBA application process as they would planning and executing a complex operation.
Hosted by Ian Kennedy, former enlisted Army SOF (18E, 1st SFG) and Stanford MBA/MS EE, who applied to business school while on deployment and earned admission to Berkeley, MIT, and Stanford. As a coach, he works primarily with milvet applicants and has helped them gain admission to Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, LBS, and more.
