Before law school, I started my career at the intersection of high-stakes corporate operations and emerging market investment strategy. At Goldman Sachs, I served as a Senior Legal Analyst supporting the Corporate Governance team, where I managed materials for 150+ Board and Board committee meetings, tracked governance trends for senior leadership, and streamlined audit processes through systems redesign. I also supported the corporate aircraft function, collaborating daily with senior management to evaluate executive perquisites across hundreds of annual transactions. I then took that operational and analytical foundation to Nairobi, where I joined the Karimjee Group as an Investment Associate building out the firm's renewable energy portfolio from the ground up. I managed 1.7MW (~$2M+) in solar financing projects, secured EPC partnerships across East Africa, and developed investment criteria that cut due diligence timelines in half, all while navigating the cross-border legal, regulatory, and political complexity that comes with operating across multiple African jurisdictions. Law school has even further refined my ability to cut unnecessary noise from business decision-making.
