About William

Hi, I'm Will. I've called Philadelphia home for over 20 years, but I'm originally from DC and grew up mostly in Ohio, so I bring that Midwest nice combined with that Philly vibe of authenticity. I got really lucky and found my college "fit," within 5 minutes of stepping onto the campus of my alma mater, Xavier University, in Cincinnati, OH. I experienced much the same feeling the first time I stepped onto campus at my second alma mater, the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), where I got my Master's in Higher Education. I've worked in a variety of fields - advertising, EdTech, student affairs and admissions, but my goals have always been the same - make things easier for everyone. That could be for the prospective students using our websites, for the people wanting to find out about our products, or when I worked for the Cincinnati Reds - making sure people had a better time at the ball park. When I'm not sitting behind a computer, I'm cheering on the Phillies, the Reds, the Eagles, the Sixers, the Pistons (my kid allegiances and my grown-up allegiances are friends), going on hikes with my partner, learning about the newest trends in applications and enrollments or just enjoying everything Philadelphia - a world class city - has to offer!

Why do I coach?

I specialize in figuring out your best college "fit." With college application systems, the Common App and others, it can be really tempting to apply to hundreds of schools. I'll help you narrow your list down to the schools that are a best fit for you - the ones that meet what YOU want out of college and will give YOU the best chance to succeed. Let's work together to you understand the college search process and make it easier than it is. Colleges like nothing more than making the application process complicated, so let me help you break it down, making it easier to find you you're right fit! And if you're here for assistance or mentoring regarding better public speaking, be that in front of audiences of 5 people in a staff meeting, 50 in a departmental meeting or 500 at a conference presentation, I can help! I've coached and mentored countless students and co-workers on strategies for presenting and improving their public speaking skills, from how to practice their delivery to how to prep for a presentation to delivering key, memorable moments!
