About Vasco
I’m an investment banking analyst on Morgan Stanley’s EMEA Power & Energy team in London, where I build financial models and marketing materials for M&A and capital markets deals — including a ~$1.5bn sell-side mandate I helped run end to end. Before Morgan Stanley I went through the UBS Graduate Talent Program in Zurich across wealth management and structured credit. I hold an MSc in Finance from Imperial College London and a BSc in Economics from Nova SBE in Lisbon, with an exchange semester in the US where I graduated top of my class. Outside of finance, I’m a competitive sailor — three-time Portuguese national champion and a representative of Portugal at World and European championships
Why do I coach?
I coach because breaking into finance is far more learnable than it looks — but only if someone shows you the real mechanics instead of leaving you to guess. I came into the industry as an international student navigating recruiting across three countries, and the difference between the rounds I lost and the ones I won always came down to preparation and feedback I could trust. Having recently sat on both sides of sell-side recruiting and gone through buy-side processes myself, I know exactly what these interviews actually test and where strong candidates quietly fall short. I want to give people the structured, honest coaching I wish I’d had earlier.
