About Tyler
I’m Tyler—a Wharton MBA and Lauder MA alum who’s spent the last decade building ventures, shaping strategy, and helping everyone from Fortune 500s to scrappy startups make sense of ambiguity. I’m Texas-raised (Dallas) and Austin-based now, but I’ve also lived and worked across both coasts—and spent time on all seven continents before turning 30, including stints in Ghana, Argentina, Mongolia, and even Antarctica. I come from a consulting background and have always chased experiences that push me out of my comfort zone and into new perspectives. I work best with people navigating messy, nonlinear stories—whether you're aiming for a top-tier MBA, exploring dual degrees, or just trying to make sense of your path. I’m a lifelong believer that substance beats polish when telling your story. You don’t need a perfect story. You need to understand your own story—and learn how to tell it with clarity and conviction. When I’m not coaching or working, I’m usually at a live show, hiking with my pup, practicing Portuguese, enjoying a Belgian beer, or throwing pottery at my local ceramics studio.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I remember what it felt like to second-guess everything—whether my story was “strong enough,” whether I belonged, whether I was just checking boxes. What changed everything was someone helping me see my story with fresh eyes—and showing me how to tell it with confidence. Coaching isn’t just editing essays. It’s reframing your narrative so it finally makes sense to you, too. That shift changes how you show up in applications, in interviews, and once you’re on campus. Helping people make that leap is one of the most energizing things I do. It’s where structure meets self-belief—and where your story becomes your strategy.
