About Tony
CMO with 10 years of experience at tech startups. My niches include performance marketing, early-stage startups, peer-to-peer marketplaces, and data science. I actually started my career in data science, after getting my degree in statistics. I quickly pivoted into performance marketing and then climbed the corporate ladder from there. 7 years ago I started working at a peer-to-peer marketplace (think Airbnb, Uber, etc.) called Neighbor, which is like Airbnb but for self-storage. That's where I fell in love with P2P marketplaces. Neighbor was tiny at that time, doing business in just 3 counties. As Neighbor's first marketer, I was able to play key roles in helping them expand to every city in America. At Neighbor I also was fortunate to mentor dozens of young marketers. Early-stage startups are particularly difficult for young marketers and helping them through that adversity became a core passion of mine. Currently I am CMO at Savvy Learning, which is a global P2P marketplace that offers online, 1:1 tutoring to kids by connecting them with school teachers.
Why do I coach?
I mentor young marketers because I've been in their shoes. Early in my career, I often sought out such mentorship, but couldn't find it. Like many, I dreamt of becoming a CMO. That path was difficult. But now that I've reached that milestone, I want to share my insights, strategies, and experience with those who have similar dreams of career advancement in marketing.
