Why do I coach?
I coach because I've personally experienced the power of mentorship and guidance. As a young person with aspirations to attend a prestigious Russell Group University and break into big tech, I faced the challenge of charting a path without a roadmap or role models who had walked the path before me. Questions swirled in my mind – was I good enough? Could someone like me really make it? Despite these hurdles, I persisted, applying to major tech roles only to be met with rejection time and again. But with each setback, my resolve grew stronger until I finally landed my dream job. This journey taught me a crucial lesson: no one should have to navigate their ambitions alone or without support. This is why coaching matters deeply to me. It's an opportunity to be the guide I once needed, to offer encouragement where doubt looms, and to provide concrete strategies where there's uncertainty. By sharing the lessons from my own experiences, I aim to smooth the road for others, ensuring that their journey to success is less solitary and more supported. In coaching, I find purpose in helping others overcome their own feelings of inadequacy, equipping them with the confidence and tools to not only reach but surpass their goals. This is the essence of why I coach – to empower, to uplift, and to transform doubt into decisive action.
