Taimur Kouser

I’m a resident physician in neurology at Yale. I graduated medical school from Stanford and am interested in where the brain meets the human experience, in health and disease. I went to college at Harvard, where I was one of the first ever joint neuroscience and philosophy concentrators— I also studied Arabic, German, and linguistics. Before starting medical school, I earned a Masters in bioethics, tech ethics, and science policy from Duke and did research in neurophilosophy as a Fulbright scholar in Munich, Germany. I also spent some time at a seminary in my hometown in East Tennessee, exploring religion and spirituality. As a former peer mental health counselor, current older brother, and future neurologist and psychiatrist, I have tons of experience helping others share their own life stories sincerely and powerfully. I'm a former admissions professional and continue to be the go-to amongst my friends and community for educational advice, a position that I'm honored and grateful to be in now.
