About Soumil
I have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Statistics from UC Davis. Alongside 1 YOE distributed across AWS and Mercor I've successfully positioned myself from a non-target school to land interviews at companies like Windsurf (Cognition), Palantir, Meta and offers at companies like Snowflake, AWS, Mercor, and top YC startups. Throughout this process, I've developed strategies on how to optimize your profile, land opportunities, and excel in the toughest interviews. I'm excited to share this knowledge to you!
Why do I coach?
My first job out of high school was as a elementary school tutor. I made such a profound impact on one of my students, that their family invited me over for Thanksgiving the following November. After that, I was a youth soccer coach, where I combined my passion for coaching and soccer to teach kids skills that would help them ON and OFF the field. This was one of the most fun summers of my life. During my second year of college, I dedicated 10-20 hours/week to help fellow undergrad students pass the classes I excel in. I love fostering connections with people and the dynamic of a mentor/mentee that allows us to teach each other and grow together!
