I know what it's like to be a nontraditional applicant trying to secure your dream job, without any referrals or connections. When you're a self starter, breaking into a competitive industry can feel like you're swimming upstream. I still think back to the time I interviewed for MBB internships my junior year. I'd read Case Interview Secrets and Case in Point, thought through some answers in my head... and walked into those interviews wildly underprepared. It was humbling. I didn’t get an offer that summer, but it was the fire that I needed. I doubled down and spent hundreds of hours studying, drilling, and mastering behavioral and case interviews. The effort paid off: I was able to secure an offer a McKinsey, where I worked for three years and attained the "Distinctive" performance rating. I firmly believe that mastery of the case interview is not just a means to secure a consulting offer -- it's also a predictor of success within the role itself. McKinsey opened a lot of doors for me, and I'm so excited to pay it forward to other deserving candidates who may not have the institutional or generational knowledge of competitive industries, but are otherwise immensely qualified.
