A small-group GMAT course capped at 5 students, designed for motivated candidates who want structured, expert-led prep alongside a small cohort working toward similar score goals. The right balance between focused individual attention and the accessibility of a group program. The course runs twice a week for 2.5 months: 1.5-hour live virtual sessions, totaling 30 hours of instruction. Cohorts are capped at 5 students so the group stays small enough that I know each student's strengths, weaknesses, and progression individually. Every cohort begins with a full-length proctored GMAT Focus diagnostic for each student. I review every diagnostic carefully before the first session, so I'm walking in already knowing where each student stands. Throughout the course, students take additional full-length proctored practice tests under real conditions, with detailed reviews of every test. Each session focuses on the highest-leverage GMAT material: Quant fundamentals and pattern recognition, Verbal strategy (Critical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension), Data Insights mastery, time management, and the test-design insights that separate top scorers from average ones. All curriculum and proprietary lesson materials are provided. Students are expected to purchase the Official Guide and GMAC's official practice tests separately. One thing that sets this course apart from typical group GMAT programs: I do bi-weekly individual check-ins for every student. Group prep can feel anonymous; mine doesn't. Every two weeks, you get a direct touchpoint where I share your specific progress, what you're working on, and where to focus next. The course is designed for students at any starting score band: candidates aiming for 700+, mid-range candidates working toward 650+, or students building fundamentals on their way to a competitive score.

This is a structured small-group course, not a one-on-one engagement, but also not a passive class where students sit and listen. With only 5 students per cohort, I run each session interactively: every student is engaged in working through problems, asking questions, and getting real feedback within the session. My approach is built on pattern recognition, test strategy, and disciplined execution, not endless practice tests. The GMAT rewards candidates who understand how the test is designed, where the traps are, and how to manage the clock under pressure. That's what I teach across the course. Outside of class, students have direct messaging access for time-sensitive questions, and individual bi-weekly check-ins ensure no one gets lost in the cohort.
Course structure: 30 hours of instruction across 2.5 months, delivered as twice-weekly 1.5-hour live virtual sessions. Cohorts capped at 5 students; minimum 4 to run. Pre-course diagnostic: Every student takes a full-length proctored GMAT Focus diagnostic before the course begins, using GMAC's official practice test platform. Session attendance: Sessions are live and not recorded. Students are expected to attend in real time. Written notes provided for any missed session. Individual check-ins: Bi-weekly individual check-ins (15–20 minutes each) scheduled directly with each student. Materials: Proprietary curriculum and lesson materials provided. Students should plan to purchase the GMAT Official Guide and GMAC's official practice tests separately (typically $50–$100 total). Cancellation: Course non-refundable once the cohort begins. Refunds available up to one week before the cohort start date. Cohort minimums: Minimum 4 students required to run a cohort. If a cohort doesn't meet the minimum, students are offered enrollment in the next available cohort, a credit toward 1-on-1 tutoring, or a full refund. Upgrade option: Students who complete the group course and want additional 1-on-1 work receive a 20% credit toward any 1-on-1 GMAT tutoring package booked within 30 days.

GMAT Expert | 790 (99th %ile) | Columbia MBA | 16+ Yrs, 1000+ GMAT Clients
I scored a 790 on the GMAT (99th percentile) and a perfect score on the SAT, and I've spent the last 16+ years helping students do the same. I graduated from NYU Summa Cum Laude with a double major in Economics and English, and earned my MBA from Columbia Business School in 2020, where I focused on Strategy and Entrepreneurship. Before joining Leland, I founded and ran my own boutique tutoring company in New York, leading a team of tutors and developing proprietary GMAT curriculum used with 1000+ clients. My approach emphasizes pattern recognition, test strategy, and disciplined execution over brute-force practice - and my students regularly post 100+ point gains on their way to 700+ scores.
