Sidney’s Investment Banking Qualifications
Experience level: Analyst
Breaking into investment banking is one of the most competitive and opaque processes out there, and I know that firsthand. I started my career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Goldman Sachs in the Technology, Media & Telecom (TMT) Group, working on everything from IPOs to client advisory work to one of the group's largest public buyside internet M&A transactions. And I didn't come from a traditional finance background. I had to figure a lot of this out on my own, which means I've thought deeply about what actually moves the needle when you're trying to break in from a non-traditional path. That's the kind of coaching I try to offer: not just "here's what worked for me" but a genuine strategy tailored to where you're starting from. I also spent several years in management consulting, so if you're weighing banking against consulting (a very common crossroads), I can give you a real perspective on both, not just the recruiting pitch. I'd love to help you with networking strategy, your resume and application, interview prep (technical and behavioral), and just generally making sense of what the job actually looks like day to day. Whatever stage you're at, I'm excited to help you build a path forward. Let's connect!
