About Shubham
I’m a University of Washington student majoring in Neuroscience and Medical Anthropology, a Rhodes Scholar, and a 526 MCAT scorer. I’m on the pre-med path, and I’ve spent the last few years in teaching and tutoring roles that focus on helping students who feel overwhelmed turn their prep into something structured, repeatable, and actually doable. I’ve worked as a Mathnasium tutor, volunteered as a one-on-one tutor with Cub Support, and led peer academic support through my high school Academic Coaches program. My coaching style is practical and student-centered. We start by figuring out what is holding your score back, then build a realistic weekly plan and a system for practice and review that prevents the same mistakes from repeating. I care a lot about making MCAT prep sustainable and doable for everyone.
Why do I coach?
Coaching matters to me because I’ve seen how quickly talented students can lose confidence when they do not have structure, feedback, or someone who can translate “study harder” into a clear plan. I benefited from mentors who helped me break big goals into manageable steps, and I try to be that person for others. I also genuinely enjoyed preparing for the MCAT. I like taking something that feels unpredictable and turning it into a set of learnable skills, especially passage-based reasoning and test-day strategy. Helping someone go from stressed and stuck to confident and consistent is one of the most satisfying parts of this work.
