About Shadan

I have always believed that the most powerful career growth happens at the intersection of innovation, resilience, and community. My own journey has taken me from the campuses of the University of Rochester, Columbia Business School, and NYU Steinhardt—where I earned my doctorate in Leadership and Innovation—to the executive halls of corporate America. Over the last two decades, I’ve had the privilege of navigating and leading efforts across marketing, business development, and global talent acquisition for world-class organizations like L'Oreal, Colgate-Palmolive, Nestlé Purina, and leading recruiting for Global Partnerships and Go-To-Market Operations at Google. But my path isn't just defined by the companies on my resume; it is deeply shaped by my roots and my commitment to paying it forward. As someone of Jamaican and Bahamian descent, and a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., I bring a rich cultural perspective to everything I do. Driven by a passion for equity, I also co-founded TechFIN, a non-profit dedicated to bridging the digital divide by providing thousands of computers to families in need. Whether I am speaking at global summits or working with organizations like the Aspen Institute and the U.S. Department of Commerce, my mission remains the same: empowering others to unlock their full potential. My Approach As a coach, I don't believe in one-size-fits-all strategies. My approach blends rigorous organizational insight with genuine behavioral integration and psychological safety. I meet you where you are, drawing on my deep experience in global tech recruiting and talent strategy to help you decode the corporate landscape, build authentic professional brands, and navigate high-stakes career transitions. If you are looking for a partner who understands the grit it takes to build a meaningful legacy, loves the strategy behind high-performing leadership, and is fully invested in your human potential, I look forward to working together.

Why do I coach?

I coach because the language of corporate success isn’t native to everyone. Navigating the unspoken rules, high-stakes transitions, and strategic pivots of corporate America can feel like trying to decode a foreign dialect. My own career has wound through wildly different worlds—from marketing and business development at iconic consumer brands to leading global recruiting teams at Google, alongside founding a non-profit and completing a doctorate in leadership. That varied journey has given me a unique lens. I know what it looks like from both sides of the hiring table, and I coach to help you translate your unique value into a language the corporate world can’t ignore. But my commitment to coaching is also deeply personal. I am here because mentors completely changed the trajectory of my career and my life. They were the ones who stepped in and helped me see strengths, capabilities, and possibilities in myself that I couldn't always see at the time. I know firsthand the profound impact of having someone in your corner who challenges your blind spots, advocates for your potential, and helps you see the bigger picture. I coach because I want to pay that gift forward—to be that catalyst for you, helping you decode your path, build confidence, and unlock the next level of your own legacy.
