Sara’s Career Coaching Qualifications

Experience level: Director

I’m a creative brand storyteller and commercial operator with a passion for building and activating growth systems across partnerships, business development, sourcing, and commercialization. I thrive in entrepreneurial environments and in roles where I can build trust quickly and identify whitespace opportunities. I am successful at orchestrating the people, teams, and processes that turn such opportunities into measurable revenue. A natural connector, I excel at sourcing opportunities, crafting the pitch, and mobilizing cross-functional teams with the structure and commercial rigor needed to drive growth. A few quick impact metrics: * Created a strong commercial engine at Prophet ($50M+ in net new and reactivated revenue (YTD), built out seller enablement, and upskilled 21 senior partners to generate business momentum)  * Led new biz at Ogilvy generating $60M+ in revenue with global and national brand-centered pitch wins like Coca-Cola, Nationwide, Sargento, Mondelez, etc)  * Commercialized and went to market a new offering for Private Capital Value Creation at Prophet  * Consulting background - have done long-standing client engagements in corporate development/sourcing, and brand messaging and strategy.  * Passionate about consumer brands, have helped advise founders and start-ups with pitch deck to secure fundraising and key channel introductions, like LifeListener, HelloAva, HappyPop, RYA

About Sara

My career has been built inside complex, highly matrixed organizations, where I’ve learned how to navigate ambiguity, identify white space, and create mutual value where others don’t see it. I’m a creative brand storyteller and commercial operator, focused on building and activating growth systems across partnerships, business development, sourcing, and commercialization. I thrive in entrepreneurial environments where I can quickly build trust, spot opportunity, and turn ideas into measurable revenue. I didn’t come from the typical pre-MBA path, and that’s exactly why my clients seek me out. Before Columbia Business School, I built my career in communications, marketing, and advertising, leading Business Development at Ogilvy. At 25, I was selected to lead the new business function in the Chicago office, becoming the youngest female to hold the role. I went on to generate $60M+ in revenue through global and national pitch wins including Coca-Cola, Nationwide, Sargento, and Mondelez. I was not a banker or consultant. I was an operator who knew how to craft the story and close. I’m now an Engagement Manager at Prophet, where I’ve built and scaled a commercial engine responsible for $50M+ in net new and reactivated revenue. I’ve led seller enablement initiatives, upskilled 20+ senior partners, and helped bring a new Private Capital Value Creation offering to market. My work sits at the intersection of narrative and execution, orchestrating teams, processes, and partnerships to drive growth. My experience also spans global, consumer-driven organizations like Shiseido and Gucci, and I’ve advised early-stage companies including LifeListener, HelloAva, HappyPop, and RYA on positioning, fundraising, and go-to-market strategy. Along the way, I’ve been recognized as a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree and selected for the Adweek Young CMO Mentorship Program. I’ve guest lectured at Columbia Business School, University of Michigan Ross School of Business, and NYU Stern School of Business, and currently serve on the Columbia Business School Young Alumni Board. I’m also involved with the Michael J. Fox Foundation Young Professionals Board. Getting into Columbia required me to translate a nontraditional background into a clear, compelling story. That process is now the foundation of how I coach.

Why do I coach?

I know what it feels like to not “fit the mold” on paper, and to wonder if that will hold you back. What changed everything for me was learning how to position my story properly. Not by changing who I was, but by getting sharp on what actually mattered, what differentiated me, and how to communicate that with confidence. I did not have a perfect, step-by-step playbook. I had to figure it out through trial, iteration, and a lot of self-reflection. That’s why I coach. I help people shortcut that process. I work with two types of clients: • MBA applicants, especially those from nontraditional backgrounds, who need to craft a narrative that stands out and actually makes sense to admissions committees • Early-career professionals who want to accelerate their trajectory and position themselves for top opportunities My style is direct, strategic, and honest. I will push you to be clearer, sharper, and more intentional. No generic advice, no fluff. If you feel like your background doesn’t fit the mold, that’s not a weakness. It’s your edge. The key is knowing how to tell that story in a way that lands.
