I work with executives when what got them here is no longer enough. A role has become a different job. A leadership challenge resists familiar solutions. An opportunity looks right on paper but carries more complexity than it first appears. Before becoming an executive coach, I spent more than a decade inside the leadership decisions that shape organizations. At Blackstone, Heidrick & Struggles, and Human Capital, I advised on executive assessment, succession, talent strategy, and organizational performance, giving me firsthand insight into how leaders are evaluated, selected, and developed when the stakes are high. Today, I combine that perspective with executive coaching to help leaders think more clearly, make better decisions, and perform at the level their roles now demand. Coaching is practical, rigorous, and grounded in the realities of business. Clients leave with greater clarity, stronger judgment, and the confidence to move forward deliberately.

About Sam
Every leader has an official version of themselves and a real one. I've spent my career understanding the gap between the two. At Heidrick & Struggles, I helped rebuild the go-to-market model for a $100 million practice, contributing to 40% growth in just over two years. At Blackstone, I built the talent intelligence platform used to evaluate leaders across more than 250 portfolio companies, surfacing more than 10,000 executives while reducing external search costs by $12 million. What distinguished my work was never just the ability to read the data. It was the ability to read the room at the same time, connecting what organizations said about themselves with how they actually operated. I've worked across strategy, talent, operations, and leadership, making consequential decisions, advising executives and boards, and building the systems organizations rely on to identify and develop leaders. Today, I bring that perspective to coaching leaders, leadership teams, and organizations navigating moments when what worked before is no longer enough.
Why do I coach?
The moments that shape careers, teams, and organizations rarely announce themselves in advance. A role becomes a different job. A leadership team that once worked stops producing. An opportunity that looked obvious reveals unexpected complexity. The window to influence what happens next begins to close. AI is changing how quickly those moments arrive. Work is moving faster than ever, but judgment has become more valuable, not less. There is less time to learn through experience before the next consequential decision arrives. I've spent my career on both sides of those moments: as an operator making decisions and living with their consequences, and as an advisor evaluating the leaders entrusted with making them. Coaching is where those experiences come together. My role is not to tell you what to do. It is to help you see more clearly, think more rigorously, and make decisions you can stand behind long after the moment has passed.
