About Ronan
Syracuse was last on my college application list. But through my curious and lively nature, I turned what felt like rejection into the most transformative period of my life. Ultimately, I was accepted as 1 of ~15 students into Yale's Silver Scholar program for a deferred MBA. But winners lose more than losers. I've been rejected by more banks, schools, and firms than it would be wise to admit on this platform (even falling short after a final-round interview at McKinsey). But if you're like me, you won't let a rejection deter you. I'm purposeful, diligent, and willing to ask obvious questions. I prioritize clarity, conciseness, and personability when it comes to applications, interviews, and presenting yourself to the world. My ultimate goal is to build companies. I've started an Excel automation software product and plan to continue building startups at Yale, during my deferment period, and beyond. I'm a runner. I like learning. And I like those who aim high.
Why do I coach?
I've had mentors and coaches since my travel basketball and cross-country days, and now rely heavily on professional mentors to advise, support, and push me. There is something deeply gratifying about guiding others. I believe (and studies have shown) that humans are wired this way. I help friends think through resumes, big career decisions, and whether to take a risk. I'm still figuring it out, too. I'm not here to give you the "right answer," I'm here to help you see what you're actually capable of when someone supports you.

Performed financial due diligence on six middle-market M&A transactions. Developed a VBA macro deployed across U.S. TAS offices, standardizing deliverables and saving 100s of hours annually. Presented quality of earnings adjustments to internal stakeholders and clients.

Graduated summa cum laude in the honors program. Held leadership positions in the real estate club and my fraternity. Selected as one of 13 students to run the Orange Value Fund, a $9.2 million student-run hedge fund, my junior year I competed in numerous entrepreneurial pitch competitions, placing third out of 50 at Orange Tank. I raised over $12,000 in grants and prizes, connecting deeply with mentors, fellow founders, and alumni in the Syracuse entrepreneurial ecosystem. I led my capstone team to second place out of 50 teams in Whitman's culminating course after pitching our mock business to 400 people. Whitman Scholar recipient (given to the top 13 graduates).
