Hello and welcome to my profile! As a first-generation college graduate, gaining admissions to college was incredibly enriching for me. I am passionate about education and love helping others get into their dream schools. I graduated with two bachelor's degree from Emory University with a full scholarship and later interviewed prospective candidates for admissions. I have firsthand experience in understanding what top colleges are looking for in applicants. I then was granted a Fulbright fellowship and pursued higher studies -- gaining an MBA at Harvard Business School. My experience as a Fulbright English Teacher has honed my ability to communicate effectively and mentor students. About Rifat

I deeply believe in the power of education in changing someone's course of life -- I experienced this firsthand. I grew up in Bangladesh and moved to the U.S. when I was 12. I was fortunate to have received mentorship and support that changed my academic and career trajectory and was able to attend college on a full-ride scholarship. After building a career in investment banking, education, and social impact, I am now pursuing an MBA at HBS. I have been lucky to have received over 10 acceptances to top MBA schools and look forward to helping others achieve their academic and career ambitions!

Why do I coach?

I coach and mentor because I love playing a role in unlocking someone's potential. There's no joy greater than helping someone be their best self. I have had mentors and coaches who deeply impacted my life and I hope to do the same for others. For context, mentoring and coaching is a value deeply ingrained in me. I first mentored someone when I was 17 years old, over 10 years ago. I continued through being a Peer Tutor in college, where I won the "Tutor of the Year" award. I then became a teacher in Malaysia and also currently am a Peer Tutor for 1st year MBA courses at HBS. I have coached over 60 applicants with their graduate school admissions journey and believe that anyone can have a stellar and outstanding application with sufficient introspection and analyses.
