About Nick
Hi, I’m Nick. I graduated from Columbia University in 2003 with degrees in English and Economics, and I’ve been teaching the GRE since 2006, after scoring in the 99th percentile on the test. I have tutored over 800 students one on one, many of whom have been admitted to the top graduate programs in the US and Europe, and my students routinely improve by over 20 to 40 percentile points.
Why do I coach?
After graduating from college, my brother and I moved to Barcelona on a whim. In order to pay the rent, we started to teach English, and I quickly realized teaching was something I loved doing. I love helping people learn things, gain confidence, and achieve the goals they've set for themselves, and I believe my teaching style is characterized by my patience, empathy, and humor. I know how to make clear even the most obscure concept, and I excel at instilling confidence in my students. The most common comment I hear from my students is, “I wish you had been my teacher in high school.”
