About Neel

Neel Gundavarapu is an Associate at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Dallas, TX, where he works within the Private Equity & Principal Investors (PIPE) practice, specializing in Tech Capital. He graduated from Vanderbilt University with a B.A. in Economics and Computer Science. Before BCG, Neel gained experience across product management, software engineering, and client relationship roles at Capital One, Voya Financial, and IDeaS Revenue Solutions. At Vanderbilt, he led pro-bono software projects for nonprofit organizations and conducted quantitative research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Neel brings a blend of technical fluency and investor-oriented thinking, with skills spanning Python, SQL, strategic roadmapping, and stakeholder management.

Why do I coach?

I coach because I know how much of a difference the right guidance can make at the right time. Coming into consulting from a non-traditional background that straddled economics, computer science, and a mix of product, engineering, and client-facing roles, I had to piece together a lot of the recruiting process on my own. I want to make that path clearer for others, especially candidates who bring diverse experiences and aren't sure how to translate them into a compelling consulting story. Whether it's casing, fit interviews, or figuring out how to position a unique background, I enjoy helping people build confidence and land the offer.
