About Navya
I’m a recent MBA graduate from Cornell Johnson and will be joining BCG full-time this fall after completing my summer internship with the firm and receiving a return offer. During business school, I became deeply involved in both consulting recruiting and student mentorship. I led the delivery of consulting recruiting curriculum for first-year MBA students, served as a Career Work Group Leader, and conducted hundreds of mock case interviews across more than 60 candidates. I also served as an admissions interviewer for Cornell Johnson, where I evaluated applicants and wrote admissions recommendations. I know firsthand how overwhelming both MBA admissions and consulting recruiting can feel. When I first entered these environments, it often seemed like everyone else already understood the unspoken rules and expectations. Over time, mentorship, preparation, and repetition helped me build confidence in my own voice and approach, and that experience is a big part of why I enjoy coaching today. My coaching style is supportive, practical, and highly actionable. Whether we are working on MBA applications, behavioral interviews, or case prep, my goal is to help candidates communicate their experiences clearly, think confidently under pressure, and present themselves authentically rather than trying to fit a single “ideal” mold.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I know how intimidating both MBA admissions and consulting recruiting can feel when you come from a less traditional background and are trying to break into environments that often seem filled with people who already know the “rules.” Before business school, my experience was largely in smaller, nontraditional environments across family business operations, retail, and marketing rather than the more typical pre-MBA consulting or finance paths. When I first entered MBA recruiting, there were definitely moments where I questioned whether I belonged in those spaces or whether I was as prepared as everyone around me seemed to be. What helped me most during that process was mentorship, practice, and people who took the time to make these processes feel more approachable and less intimidating. Over time, I became much more confident in my own voice and approach, and during business school I found that I genuinely enjoyed helping others reach that same point. I ended up conducting hundreds of mock interviews across more than 60 candidates while mentoring classmates and first-year students through consulting recruiting. One of the biggest things I’ve learned is that successful candidates do not all fit one mold. Some people are naturally polished interviewers, while others have incredible experiences but need help structuring and communicating them more confidently. I enjoy helping people identify their strengths, sharpen their storytelling, and approach interviews in a way that feels both strategic and authentic to who they are.
