About Mridula

I am Mridula, a life and resilience coach, and here is my story. Once upon a time, I began my career as an interior designer with my head full of dreams of creating magical homes full of color and light. I was a lucky girl in the sense that my parents believed in everything I did. They even allowed me to cut the feet of a nice sofa set as I experimented. That it was funny looking and most uncomfortable was never mentioned. Did I say I was a lucky girl? Yeah. I zipped around Chennai, India, in a scooter, proud of my job as a designer intern in an architect’s firm. Then one day my father had a heart attack, and the next day I found myself as a stockbroker’s assistant and office manager. I helped him run his office and represented him in the Madras stock exchange. Those were interesting times as I was one of the few women on the trading floor. It was so interesting that I even met my ex-husband there. As the financial markets in India evolved into 2 major stock exchanges, the National Stock Exchange and the Bombay Stock Exchange, the rest of the smaller brokering communities became redundant. That shift brought us to sunny California in 1999. There, I developed a love for storytelling as I narrated stories to my then-young son and his friends. This passion took me to the libraries of Santa Clara, where I was celebrated as a professional storyteller who won accolades from the district library heads. Then came another shift. A move to freezing Minnesota and a new status as a single mom. This was the time when I began a long 14-year stretch in the public schools, coming face to face with a generation that brought unique challenges. Here, I began exploring, as an administrative professional, how to help young people step forward into a world that was evolving by the day. Not like the slow evolution of the past that mankind was used to. I continued doing the same in my shift to Boston, then Florida. This exploration deepened my interest in coaching, where I naturally gravitated toward the theme of resilience. Drawing from my own rich experiences of navigating profound challenges, I found coaching to be a powerful way to support others through life’s transitions. What makes coaching uniquely impactful is its ability to meet individuals exactly where they are, offering support, motivation, and inspiration, while also honoring the role of the subconscious mind. By bringing awareness to what holds us back, coaching creates space for intentional, forward movement at any stage of life.
