Miriam’s Accounting Qualifications
Experience level: Director
I'm a Senior Manager of Technical Product Management at Amazon, where I've spent the last 7+ years at the intersection of finance and AI. I'm the architect behind Neo — Amazon's purpose-built GenAI solution for Accounting, spanning anomaly detection, reconciliation research, and close cycle acceleration, scaled to full global deployment and featured at the AWS Re:Invent CFO Forum. I hold an AWS Certified AI Practitioner certification and a Foundation of AI Security certification, and I've co-authored research published through Amazon Science on multi-agent accounting frameworks and self-improving financial reasoning agents. I don't just understand AI in theory — I've built it, deployed it at enterprise scale, and measured its real-world impact on the finance close cycle. Whether you're a finance leader trying to understand where AI fits in your function, or an accountant looking to future-proof your career, I bring both the practitioner depth and the strategic lens to help you navigate this transformation with confidence.

Work Experience

Senior Manager, Product Management - Technical
Amazon
June 2018 - Present
My Amazon journey has been twofold — and that dual track is exactly what sets me apart as a coach. On one side, I built. As the principal architect of Neo, Amazon's purpose-built GenAI solution for Accounting, I led the end-to-end design and deployment of AI capabilities that transformed how a global finance organization operates — from anomaly detection and reconciliation research to close cycle acceleration. This wasn't a pilot or a proof of concept. It scaled to full global deployment and was featured at the AWS Re:Invent CFO Forum, representing one of the most comprehensive GenAI implementations in enterprise accounting to date. On the other side, I taught. Building the technology was only half the work — the other half was bringing financial professionals along for the journey. I've designed and delivered AI education and enablement programs for accounting teams and non-technical finance leaders, translating complex AI concepts into frameworks practitioners could actually use. From structured learning sessions to hands-on adoption strategies, I've helped CPAs, controllers, and finance executives move from AI-curious to AI-confident. I understand the skepticism, the fear of displacement, and the knowledge gaps — because I've sat across the table from them. That combination — builder and educator, practitioner and strategist — is what I bring to every coaching engagement.
