About Michelle
I had six years of experience in the MBA Admissions Office at Harvard working directly with the MBA Admissions committee. I know the Harvard Business School MBA application like the back of my hand! First I was a member of the Operations Team, the group responsible for building, editing, and launching the new MBA application each year. Later I was part of the Yield Team responsible for, among other things, organizing and executing Interview Days. I was one of the original 6 admissions officers qualified to host Application Help Sessions, the MBA Admissions Office's answer to private admissions consultants. I provided support to MBA Admissions Directors and gained unique insight into the Waitlist, Interview, and Selection processes. I've seen hundreds of successful and unsuccessful MBA applications; I know common mistakes that even strong candidates make and what prospective MBA applicants can do to really stand out.
Why do I coach?
I coach because, even though I've moved on to another industry, I'd like to use what I learned working at Harvard to help people apply to MBA. I am particularly interested in applicants from underrepresented backgrounds hoping to be admitted to HBS.
