W.E.B. Dubois Society Cambridge, MA Head Teaching Fellow (October 2018 - December 2019) -Brainstormed and led weekly discussion seminars for 9th-12th graders of African descent in order to build an intellectual culture through the interdisciplinary study of the history of Africa and the African Diaspora. Black Men’s Forum Cambridge, MA Public Service Chair/Director of David Walker Scholars (September 2017-May 2019) -Spearheaded a team of 20 mentors to engineer a weekly mentorship program for 7th and 8th grade boys of color in order to provide homework help, financial literacy, and self-empowerment. -Improved an annual organization-wide shelter clean up that attracts 40 volunteers per event on average and educates volunteers on Harvard’s public service opportunities in order to increase Black representation in Harvard’s public service programs. Phillips Brook House Association Cambridge, MA Senior Counselor for the Summer Urban Program (June-August 2017) -Collaborated with 18 counselors, 18 junior counselors, and five directors to write, implement, and teach relevant curriculum tailored to low-income minority students in order to combat the issue of summer learning loss.
