Michael’s Startup Founders Qualifications
Experience level: Executive
Welcome to my profile! I’m Michael, a founder and operator with a track record of building and scaling brands that reach over 25 million people monthly. I’m the Co-Founder and CEO of Famous Media Group, the parent company of AsianFeed, one of the largest Asian-centric digital media brands in the world. Through this work, I’ve partnered with leading organizations including Netflix, Disney, NBC, Instagram, Sony Pictures, the White House, and the U.S. State Department, and have contributed to high-impact initiatives such as the first-ever Lunar New Year activation at the Super Bowl and the 2024 Japanese State Visit. My work has landed me on Forbes 30 Under 30 and Fast Company’s World Changing Ideas, and I’ve been featured in outlets including CNN and Vox. After years of building and scaling a company, I earned my MBA from The Wharton School, adding a strong strategic and financial lens to my hands-on operating experience. I work with founders who are launching something new or scaling what they’ve already built, offering practical, real-world guidance rooted in experience rather than theory. If you’re looking to turn an idea into a company or grow an existing business with clarity and confidence, I’d love to help you move forward.

About Michael
Hi! I'm Michael, born and raised on Long Island, NY. I'm a Forbes 30 Under 30 founder and a Wharton MBA with years of experience building, scaling, and advising businesses across media, consumer, and technology. I am the founder of AsianFeed, which I grew from an early-stage idea into one of the largest Asian-centric digital media brands globally, reaching over 25 million people and generating more than 100 million impressions per month. Along the way, I led partnerships with major organizations including Netflix, Disney, the US Department of State, and many other global brands, building credibility, revenue, and long-term brand equity from the ground up. My path into business was non-traditional. I entered an accelerated BS/MD program out of high school with the intention of becoming a physician, but ultimately made the decision to leave and pursue entrepreneurship full-time. That decision taught me how to take calculated risks, operate without a playbook, and turn ambiguity into momentum. Those lessons continue to shape how I build companies and how I coach others navigating inflection points in their careers. After scaling my business, I attended Wharton for my MBA, where I sharpened my thinking around strategy, leadership, and long-term decision-making. Business school also gave me firsthand exposure to how confusing and opaque career navigation can be, especially for people coming from non-traditional backgrounds. I have lived the questions around whether business school is worth it, how to position yourself once you are there, and how to translate the experience into real outcomes afterward. I work with clients across a wide range of stages and goals. This includes individuals applying to MBA programs, navigating career pivots, deciding between stability and risk, building personal brands, launching startups or side projects, and scaling existing businesses. I also work with creators, founders, and brands looking to level up their social media presence, audience growth, and content strategy based on what actually drives reach, engagement, and long-term brand value. My coaching is structured, direct, and outcome-oriented. I focus on helping clients clarify their goals, pressure-test decisions, and move forward with confidence rather than staying stuck in indecision. If you are looking for a coach who brings real operating experience, a strong business foundation, and a practical, honest approach to growth and decision-making, I would be glad to work with you.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I’ve seen firsthand how powerful the right coaches and mentors can be at pivotal moments. At several points in my life, I was making decisions that didn’t have obvious answers. Leaving medical school to start a company. Figuring out how to grow something from nothing. Deciding to go to business school after already building a career. In those moments, I leaned heavily on mentors and coaches who helped me slow down, think clearly, and see options I couldn’t see on my own. They didn’t tell me what to do, but they asked the right questions, challenged my thinking, and helped me move forward with confidence. Those relationships fundamentally shaped my career and the person I’ve become. They helped me avoid costly mistakes, make better long-term decisions, and stay grounded when things felt overwhelming or uncertain. I don’t think I’d be where I am today without that guidance. I coach because I want to be that resource for others. I enjoy helping people create clarity when they feel stuck, pressure-test big decisions, and build momentum toward goals that actually matter to them. Sometimes that looks like helping someone take the leap to start a company or side hustle. Other times it’s helping someone scale what they’ve already built, navigate a career transition, or think through what comes next. For me, coaching is about paying forward the support I was lucky enough to receive. If I can help someone make a clearer decision, feel more confident in their direction, or move closer to the life they’re trying to build, then that’s what successful coaching looks like to me.
