Mia’s Dental School Qualifications

I have a lot of personal experience with dental school admissions and am very qualified to help pre-dental applicants with every step of the process. I received a top score on the DAT in 2024, and can provide students with advice and study strategies for the exam. For interviews, I can offer live practice sessions, a list of questions to prepare, and assistance with formulating responses. Additionally, I will provide templates for letters of intent/interest on request as well as editing services for letters, personal statements, and supplemental application responses. I am also happy to answer any questions about my experience and provide counseling on dental shadowing hours, volunteering, and other application requirements.

About Mia

Hi! My name is Mia and I am a first year dental student at the University of New England. When I was an undergraduate student at Boston University, I met with a few coaches (one of them through Leland) to make sure my application to dental school was as good as it could be. I received a 23AA and 23 TS on the DAT, volunteered with young children for over two years, and got as many shadowing hours in as I could. I was also a member of the Dance Theater Group at BU and the Harvard Ballet Company as dance is one of my many passions. Looking back on my application, there are many things I believe I did well but there are also some things I could have done differently, which is why I am looking forward to helping current pre-dental students follow their dreams of getting accepted to dental school! Currently at UNE, I am secretary of the Orthodontics Club, co-founder and co-president of the book club UNE Reads, and am participating in our Reproductive Health Leadership Program to help underserved communities get access to reproductive care.

Why do I coach?

During my application experience, there were many factors that led to my application being submitted very late in the cycle. Because of this, acing my interviews and writing exceptional letters of intent/interest was crucial to my being accepted. Having an admissions coach by my side to help me every step of the way not only improved my confidence as an applicant, but also my performance in the crucial parts of the process. Coaching pre-dental students matters so much to me because I know from experience how daunting this can be, and I hope to be a great source of knowledge and support on your journey to dental school.
