About Mia

Hi! My name is Mia and I am a first year dental student at the University of New England. When I was an undergraduate student at Boston University, I met with a few coaches (one of them through Leland) to make sure my application to dental school was as good as it could be. I received a 23AA and 23 TS on the DAT, volunteered with young children for over two years, and got as many shadowing hours in as I could. I was also a member of the Dance Theater Group at BU and the Harvard Ballet Company as dance is one of my many passions. Looking back on my application, there are many things I believe I did well but there are also some things I could have done differently, which is why I am looking forward to helping current pre-dental students follow their dreams of getting accepted to dental school! Currently at UNE, I am secretary of the Orthodontics Club, co-founder and co-president of the book club UNE Reads, and am participating in our Reproductive Health Leadership Program to help underserved communities get access to reproductive care.
