About Mark
I have a lifelong love of math. When I teach my students in the classroom or during tutoring, my love for math is palpable and I have passed this on to my students. Even my students who have historically struggled in math, learn to enjoy math after working with me. After their first class, they are visibly more relaxed. As time goes on, they develop a solid confidence in their math ability. For students strong in math, I take them to the next level so that they can be ultra-competitive in their grades and on the math portions of standardized tests.
Why do I coach?
My high school math teacher changed my life. She gave me a real appreciation for learning math and I pass that on to my students. Her visual approaches have stuck with me for 35 years. Over the years, I have refined my ability to help students master concepts and thinking skills. I help students gain efficiency and confidence with time-saving mental math skills. I am an expert at teaching students excellent number sense so that they know when their answers are reasonable. My students learn to be meticulous and to complete their math homework and tests with confidence.
