About Marissa
I am a current third-year dental student at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. I completed my undergraduate degree at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, where I majored in Psychology while on the pre-dental track. During my time at Emory, I served as President of the Emory Pre-Dental Society and have continued supporting pre-dental students through application guidance and mentorship since graduating. I am also a recipient of the U.S. Army HPSP Scholarship and am happy to connect with anyone interested in learning more about the scholarship process. I’m excited to work with you and support you on your journey to dental school! I know the application process can feel stressful and overwhelming, and my goal is to help make it more manageable, whether that means creating an application plan, answering questions, or providing feedback on your personal statement.
Why do I coach?
My mentors played a huge role in my journey to dental school, and I truly valued those who provided honest, constructive feedback that helped me focus on meaningful experiences so I could create an application that felt authentic to me. I want to give back by offering that same support to pre-dental students and anyone interested in pursuing dentistry through providing encouragement, guidance, and an honest perspective!
