About Marcus
I have always been passionate about investing and curious about the world around me. I have developed a love for learning about new people, places, things, and ideas. I carried this curiosity with me to college, where I became passionate about the world of investing. Following graduation, I joined Wasatch Global Investors, a $35B growth-oriented international mutual fund company. My experience at Wasatch provided me with the opportunity to explore and learn about the world through an investing lens. Public equities investing is compelling because it is always different and changing. At a basic level, I think it is fun. On a deeper level, public equities investing requires judgement and introspection. Judgement to make decisions and distill information down to what truly matters. Introspection to be willing to be honest with yourself. It gives you the opportunity to quickly asses what happened vs what you expected would happen. My experience is in fundamental, bottom-up business analysis. I love analyzing businesses and industries across various countries and cultures. I would love to help you achieve your goals in the industry!
Why do I coach?
Having recently starting a career in the industry myself, I know firsthand how key coaching can be to landing a position in public equities investing. I will be best-suited for students or early career clients who are looking to build skills and begin their career in public equities. I will help clients identify great opportunities, and more importantly to to prepare so that they are ready when their chance comes along. I have been through the interview process with many of the industry's top firms and I have a bank of interview questions, resume templates, model tests, and networking tips that I will share with clients. I look forward to working with clients to help them land positions that they are excited about.
