About Marcelo

Hi all! I'm a BYU graduate, experienced investing professional and operator with a background in private equity, investment banking and franchising. After 5+ years of high finance, I am currently on the path of going all in an entrepreneurship. Previously, I was a private equity associate at The Chernin Group (TCG), where I sourced and executed transactions in the sports and media industry. Prior to TCG, I began my career in investment banking at RBC Capital Markets, advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt offerings, and other strategic transactions in software. In addition to my professional experience, I am a Crumbl franchise owner where i opened and operated NYC's first Crumbl while i was an investment banking analyst. Proof that through hard work and the right partners, you can gain operating experience without quitting your finance job. I am passionate about helping others break into finance, but as well learn what it takes to own a not-so-passive franchise. I have helped dozens of individuals recruit for investment banking, private equity, and even what it takes to open / operate their first franchise or retail location.
