Welcome to my profile! I studied at the University of Michigan, pursuing a degree in biochemistry with a minor in gender and health. Having personally completed over 5,000 MCAT practice problems, I have a nuanced understanding of how the MCAT assesses content. I am originally from Port Huron, Michigan where I was a National Merit Scholar. My passion for coaching and tutoring stems from a passion for education and my desire to help others accomplish their career goals. I know that for many aspiring physicians, the MCAT is one of the biggest barriers to entry into medical school. I enjoy helping individuals who may struggle with standardized tests and test anxiety tackle this obstacle and pursue their goals. As a tutor, I go beyond simply teaching content. I take the time to get to know my students and understand their unique goals and passions. This personalized approach allows me to provide academic support, motivation, and encouragement throughout the challenging pre-medical journey. I approach each session as a collaborative learning environment. I believes that coaching is most effective when the student is an active participant; there is work that they need to put in both during their session and on their own time. I tailors each session to each student's specific needs to help them get as much as possible out of our relationship. What sets me apart as a coach is my compassion for students and my flexibility. I understand that each student has a lot going on in their life which may impact how much time and energy they can commit to achieving their goals. As such, I am very flexible with students, always willing to adjust the plan based on their changing needs.

About Maggie
I am a kind and compassionate MCAT and Medical School Admissions Coach. I graduated from the University of Michigan with my B.S. in biochemistry with a minor in gender and health and am now attending medical school. I have several years of tutoring experience across a variety of subjects and have been coaching specifically for the MCAT for over a year. I scored a 523 on my first and only MCAT attempt - I am an expert on both the content tested on the MCAT and winning test-taking strategies. My passion for coaching stems from my passion for education and desire to help others accomplish their career goals. I know that for many aspiring physicians, the MCAT and the application process are some of the biggest barriers to entry for medical school. I love to help individuals who may struggle with standardized tests and test anxiety tackle these obstacle and pursue their goals. My strengths as coach include my deep understanding of the content tested on the MCAT and the admission process. My degree in biochemistry has provided me with an understanding of the scientific concepts tested on the MCAT that is deeper than the level tested on the MCAT. Having personally completed over 5,000 MCAT practice problems, I also have a nuanced understanding of the ways in which this test assesses this content. What sets me apart as a coach is my compassion for my clients and my flexibility. I understand that each client has a variety of things going on in their life and that these things may impact how much time and energy they can commit to the process. As such, I am very flexible with my clients, always willing to adjust the plan based on their changing needs. I approach each coaching session as a collaborative experience. I believe that coaching is most effective when the client is an active participant, and that there is work that they need to put in both during sessions and on their own time. I tailor each session to each client's specific needs to help them get as much as possible out of our relationship as possible.
