Lisa’s Legal Practice Qualifications

Coaches professionally

Experience level: Executive

300+ people coached for Legal Practice

I coach lawyers and legal professionals from direct, lived experience across multiple sectors of the profession. I began my career in Big Law, served as a criminal prosecutor in government, and later worked as in-house corporate counsel at Amazon. I also spent years in legal recruitment and executive search, advising firms and companies on hiring, performance, and advancement decisions. I understand the pressure of billable hours, client demands, internal politics, and the unrelenting expectation of responsiveness that defines modern legal practice. My coaching combines strategic career expertise with a holistic approach that considers the whole person — not just the résumé. Legal careers affect identity, relationships, health, and long-term wellbeing. Having personally navigated the intensity of round-the-clock client service and high-stakes environments, I know that sustainability matters. Wellness practices were not a luxury in my own career; they were essential to functioning at a high level. I help clients clarify both professional ambitions and personal priorities, make aligned decisions about partnership, in-house transitions, leadership, or pivots, and build careers that are not only successful on paper but sustainable in real life.

About Lisa

I began my career as a lawyer and later moved into senior leadership and HR roles at Amazon. I know high-pressure environments intimately — billable hours, constant responsiveness, complex stakeholder demands. I also know how easy it is to live almost entirely in your head. I was very good at rationalising decisions, pushing through stress, and performing at a high level — even when my body was signalling burnout. Eventually, stress showed up physically: fatigue, TMJ, and a level of depletion that logic alone couldn’t solve. Wellness practices — coaching, meditation, yoga, energy work — weren’t indulgences. They were how I returned to myself. They restored clarity, steadiness, and discernment. That experience changed how I understand performance and leadership. I’m a certified executive coach (Henley Business School), a certified ADHD coach, a Reiki Master Teacher, and a trained yoga and meditation teacher. My work blends rigorous thinking with nervous system awareness. We focus on one issue at a time, but we never ignore the whole person. I work primarily with high-capacity professionals navigating growth, transition, or burnout — lawyers, executives, founders, engineers, and neurodivergent leaders who are capable, thoughtful, and often carrying more than they show. Many have achieved success but feel misaligned, overstretched, or at a decision point. Through Reunion Wellness Studio, I offer grounded, structured coaching that integrates clarity, regulation, and action. The goal isn’t to escape ambition. It’s to pursue it without abandoning yourself.

Why do I coach?

I coach because I know what it’s like to succeed on paper and feel disconnected internally. In my legal and corporate leadership career, I was often the advisor — the one helping others think through decisions. What I saw repeatedly was this: people don’t need more advice. They need space to think clearly, regulate stress, and hear themselves. When I experienced burnout personally, coaching and embodied practices helped me shift from reacting and over-functioning to choosing deliberately. That shift was profound. It wasn’t about stepping away from ambition. It was about aligning it. Coaching matters to me because it creates that alignment. When someone has steady, intelligent space to reflect, they make better decisions — not just strategically, but sustainably. I care about helping capable people think well, lead well, and live in a way that doesn’t cost them their health.
