Lauren’s Service Academies & ROTC Qualifications
10+ people coached for Service Academies & ROTC
Welcome! I’m a proud graduate of the United States Naval Academy from a multi-generation USNA family, with firsthand experience navigating the service academy admissions process and life inside the Yard. I was recruited as a Division I swimmer and commissioned as a Surface Warfare Officer, giving me insight into both athletic recruiting and the operational demands of Navy leadership. Through my own career and close personal ties, I’m deeply familiar with the paths of Marines, pilots, submariners, and Navy SEALs. I bring both operational and analytical experience to my coaching, with a Master of Science in Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School and leadership roles in the U.S. Navy, followed by consulting experience at Boston Consulting Group. I loved my time on active duty and continue to serve the military community today as an active-duty spouse.I’m passionate about helping aspiring service academy and ROTC candidates build confident, compelling applications and prepare for success beyond the appointment. Let’s work together to highlight your strengths, tell your story authentically, and position you for a future of service and leadership.

About Lauren
I’m a former Navy officer, decision scientist, and consultant with a background in operations research, analytics, and product strategy. I’ve spent my career making high-stakes decisions in complex, ambiguous environments—from leading teams in the Navy to building analytics-driven decision systems at BCG. I know what it’s like to navigate competitive paths with unclear rules, high expectations, and a lot of pressure. Whether it’s breaking into selective programs, transitioning careers, or positioning yourself for leadership roles, I help people turn uncertainty into a clear, actionable plan. My approach blends structured thinking, honest feedback, and practical guidance, grounded in real experience rather than theory.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I care deeply about helping people who are a few steps behind where I’ve been—and because I know how much the right guidance can change a trajectory. I benefited enormously from mentors who challenged me, believed in me, and helped me see paths forward when things felt overwhelming or opaque. I also learned many lessons the hard way, navigating competitive environments where expectations were high and feedback wasn’t always clear. Coaching gives me the opportunity to pay that forward. I’m especially passionate about helping people build confidence, make thoughtful decisions, and advocate for themselves—whether they’re aiming for elite programs, leadership roles, or major career transitions. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all advice; I work with clients to understand their goals, strengths, and constraints, and help them move forward with clarity and conviction.
