Katie’s K-12 Teaching Qualifications
Experience level: Manager
Katie has helped clients get into these companies:
As any teacher can attest, we enter this profession because of passion—a love of learning, a commitment to students, and a desire to make a meaningful impact. But from personal experience, I know that sometimes passion alone isn’t enough. You may feel burned out, underpaid, unsupported, or simply curious about what else is possible beyond the classroom walls. I successfully transitioned from teaching into the corporate world, where I discovered just how valuable educators truly are. Teachers bring project management, data analysis, stakeholder communication, curriculum design, leadership, and problem-solving skills that translate seamlessly into roles in edtech, instructional design, customer success, operations, and beyond. I help educators reframe their experience, identify transferable skills, update their resumes and LinkedIn profiles, and confidently navigate interviews. If you're ready to explore opportunities where you're valued, appreciated, and compensated in a way that reflects your expertise, I’d love to help you make that transition with clarity and confidence.

About Katie
Hi, I’m Katie, and I help people land roles that actually align with their long-term goals. Breaking into your dream role can feel overwhelming. Whether you’re a student trying to navigate internships or a teacher transitioning out of the classroom, it often feels like you’re expected to “just figure it out” with very little guidance. I’m here to change that. Together, we’ll clarify your long-term vision, identify opportunities that genuinely move you toward it, and create a strategic, realistic plan. I’ll support you through every step... from defining what to pursue, to crafting strong applications, to preparing for interviews, to navigating offers and next steps with confidence. I’m especially passionate about supporting people who don’t already have built-in access, insider knowledge, or a clear roadmap. Opportunities are powerful, but only when they’re intentional. My goal is to help you move strategically, not randomly. As someone who has lived in the Bay Area my entire life, I deeply understand the high-pressure, competitive career landscape here. I know how overwhelming it can feel — and I also know how to navigate it thoughtfully. If you’re local, I can offer a perspective that’s grounded in real experience with Bay Area industries, expectations, and culture. If you’re feeling stuck, unsure how your next step fits into your bigger picture, or ready to move toward a role that truly aligns with who you are, I’d love to work with you.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I want to make the world a little more equitable. Too many opportunities—especially internships—go to students who already have insider knowledge or personal connections. I want to help level that playing field. I grew up in the Bay Area, where it often feels like opportunities come down to who you know and what you’ve been exposed to. One of my favorite sayings is, “You don’t know what you don’t know.” That idea has always stuck with me, because so many capable, motivated young people miss out simply because no one has shown them how the system works. Coaching gives me the chance to fill in those unknowns. I help students understand what steps to take, how to position themselves, and how to use internships intentionally to move toward their goals. My goal isn’t just to help someone land one opportunity—it’s to give them the knowledge and confidence to navigate their future with clarity.
