Kate’s College Qualifications
Hi, I'm Kate - a UW-Madison Business school graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Operations and Tech Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain. With a strong academic background and professional experiences in consulting and product management, I've guided students of low-income, first generation, and historically underrepresented backgrounds to craft compelling applications that illustrate what they will bring to campus. My coaching styles involves getting to know who you are as a person - your goals, personality, and interests. Every experience you've had is valid and matters, it's not "just" a cashier or server or barista position. Let's work together to make sure your story comes through in the application - sometimes we just need someone in our corner to be a sounding board and provide another perspective - that's what I'm here for.

About Kate
Hi there! I'm Kate - nice to meet you. I grew up in the rural Midwest and was lucky enough to attend a high school that had 25+ AP course offerings. My family instilled a strong work ethic in me ever since I was little that led me to the Wisconsin School of Business on an Academic Excellence scholarship where I graduated with Distinctive Scholastic Achievement. I went on to gain experience in supply chain & operations internships, study abroad programs, and undergraduate clubs before landing full-time offers because of the resources around me like the alumni network, mentors, and friends. Now that I have the opportunity to be on the other side, I really love helping others figure out their goals, craft their story, and sharpen their interview skills + resume - whether that's for college or a job application. Outside of work, I enjoy skiing, hiking, photography, being a foodie, pilates, and thrifting. I also volunteer as a Peer Counselor for Empower Work - an anonymous text line that provides support and coaching for historically marginalized workers experiencing challenges in the workplace. Thanks for stopping by, I'm excited to connect with you!
Why do I coach?
Landing a school acceptance, internship, or full-time role can be an absolute rollercoaster. When I was first applying to colleges, I didn't have an an immediate, go-to mentor since my parents hadn't navigated the university application space within the U.S. During my time at UW-Madison, I was lucky enough to find peers and alumni to help me navigate recruitment for internships and full-time, improve my case interview skills, succeed in consulting interviews, and transition out of consulting and into product management. I'd love to pay it forward - I feel energized when mentoring others, learning about their experience and perspective, and ultimately helping them achieve their goals.
