I know what it feels like to struggle with consulting interviews—because I’ve been there. When I first started casing, I felt anxious and stuck. I froze, convinced there was some hidden formula I just couldn’t unlock. Everything changed when I realized consulting interviews aren’t about memorizing frameworks—they’re about how you approach problems. Once I focused on genuinely solving the case, my confidence grew, my performance improved, and interviews became something I looked forward to instead of feared. I’ve walked the full consulting path—from earning admission to Yale’s 2+2 MBA program, to landing an offer at McKinsey, to coaching peers through the same process. Along the way, I’ve also worked in tech product management at Microsoft and founded my own startup, which means I can not only coach you through consulting interviews but also help you compare paths across industries. As your coach, I’ll meet you where you are—whether you’re just starting with frameworks, refining your math, or seeking partner-level feedback. I bring both empathy and experience: I know the stress and self-doubt of casing, and I know how to help you unlock the mindset shift that builds real confidence. My goal is to help you not just “crack the case,” but walk into every interview with clarity and self-belief.

About Karina
I worked as a Product Manager at Microsoft for four years and am now pursuing my MBA at Yale, where I recently interned at McKinsey. Alongside my career and studies, I founded a premium women’s denim company, overseeing everything from fabric sourcing and product design to brand identity and go-to-market strategy. Having navigated recruiting across tech, consulting, and MBA programs, I know how tough the process can feel—and how much of a difference the right preparation and mindset can make. I’m passionate about helping others land the interviews and opportunities they’re aiming for, and I’m happy to chat about recruiting for consulting, product management, tech, or MBA admissions.
Why do I coach?
Coaching matters deeply to me because I know what it feels like to struggle and feel stuck. When I first started casing, I had a ton of anxiety—I would freeze, convinced there was some hidden “key” to cracking the case that I just couldn’t unlock. No matter how much I practiced, I felt like I was chasing what interviewers wanted to hear instead of truly engaging with the problem. Then I had an epiphany. I realized that casing wasn’t about memorizing the “right” answer—it was about shifting my mindset. The moment I stopped trying to force myself into someone else’s framework and instead focused on what I genuinely wanted to understand and how I would actually solve the problem, everything clicked. My confidence grew, my performance improved, and casing stopped being something I feared and became something I enjoyed. That transformation is why I’m passionate about coaching. I know firsthand how discouraging it feels to think you’re not “getting it,” and I also know how powerful it is to unlock the right perspective. I want to help others make that same shift—so they don’t just get better at casing, but also discover a way of thinking that builds confidence far beyond the interview room.
