Works at Purpose with Jessica
I'm generally available for sessions on weekday daytimes and keep a flexible schedule, so there's usually room to find a time that works. I'm based in Central Time (Des Moines, IA), so please keep that in mind when booking. I ask for 48 hours notice where possible, but feel free to reach out even on shorter timelines and I'll do my best to accommodate.

About Jessica
I've spent 12+ years building things that didn't exist yet: the first CSR framework at a $100B aerospace company mid-merger, the first ESG governance system at a multinational spanning hospitality, agriculture, and pro sport, the first impact report at a fast-growing company. My career has moved through corporate, nonprofit, and public policy, and across the U.S. and Europe. That taught me the real skill isn't any one technical specialty. It's knowing how to translate between people, sectors, and cultures who don't naturally speak the same language. Strategy people, finance people, frontline teams, regulators, and community partners all have different vocabularies and incentives, and the leaders who move things forward are the ones who can bridge them. I've learned that skill inside post-merger chaos, inside board rooms, and inside a summer camp stretching a budget for underserved kids, and it transfers further than people expect. I hold a Master of Public Policy & Administration and I'm finishing a Master of Science in Sustainable Management, but just as much of what I bring comes from lived experience: founding my own consulting practice, sitting on nonprofit boards (Racing Pride, USO), mentoring through Hire Heroes and my alma mater, and speaking at academic and professional conferences on leadership, sustainability, and the internal politics nobody puts in the job description.
Why do I coach?
Because I didn't have this kind of mentor early on, and I felt the cost of that. I struggled with imposter syndrome for years, the quiet feeling that I'd been let into rooms I hadn't earned. Instead of working through it privately, I turned it into a presentation I gave at a women's conference, because I'd rather name the thing than pretend it isn't common. Mentoring is the fastest way to close that gap for someone else. I've built my career on transferable skills, moving from community engagement to global CSR to ESG governance, and I know how disorienting it is to stand at a pivot point without anyone to tell you what carries over. I coach because I want people to skip some of the years I spent figuring that out alone, and because watching someone walk into a room with real clarity about their own value is the best part of my week.
