Jerome’s MBA Qualifications

100+ people coached for MBA

Jerome has helped clients get into these schools:

I’m an HBS MBA (graduated with Distinction) who "swept" the top business schools: I earned admission to Stanford GSB, Wharton (Howard E. Mitchell Fellow), Columbia (Full Tuition), Yale SOM (Full Tuition), Berkeley Haas, and Harvard. I know exactly how to turn a "non-traditional" background into a winning offer. Before HBS, I was a CPA and consultant—not a typical feeder for private equity. Yet, through rigorous positioning and storytelling, I leveraged my MBA to pivot directly into Growth Equity at Summit Partners. I’ve since been featured in Poets & Quants and selected as an inaugural HBS RISE Fellow. My coaching is built on that same level of execution. I have coached 100+ applicants to define their edge, specifically helping career switchers and first-generation candidates punch above their weight class. I don’t just edit essays; I help you build a narrative that connects your personal story (resilience, identity, overcoming adversity) to your professional goals. What to expect: Direct, high-touch partnership. We will clarify your "why," sharpen your resume line-by-line, and build an interview strategy that is authentic and confident. If you want a coach who will push you to present the strongest, most ambitious version of your story, let’s get to work!

About Jerome

I’m Jerome Fulton, Jr., an HBS graduate (with distinction) and former Senior Associate at Summit Partners, where I invested in high-growth B2B software businesses and evaluated hundreds of companies and leadership teams. My path to top MBA admissions wasn’t about having a “perfect” background — it was about building a clear story, sharpening my positioning, and executing with discipline. I was admitted to Harvard Business School and also received offers from Stanford GSB, Wharton (Howard E. Mitchell Scholar), Columbia Business School, Yale SOM, and Berkeley Haas — with full-tuition scholarships from multiple programs. Since then, I’ve coached 100+ applicants across different starting points: first-gen candidates, career switchers, reapplicants, and high-achievers struggling to articulate what actually makes them stand out. My coaching style is direct, structured, and high-touch. We’ll turn your experiences into a narrative that feels inevitable, build essays that sound like you (not a template), and prep you to show up with confidence in interviews. The goal isn’t just admission — it’s admission to the right school for your goals, with the strongest possible scholarship outcome.

Why do I coach?

I coach because I’ve seen how life-changing the right guidance can be. I benefited from mentors who helped me clarify my story, raise my standards, and execute with confidence — and I want to pay that forward. Too many great candidates get overlooked because they don’t know how to translate their experiences into a clear narrative. Coaching matters to me because it closes that gap: it turns confusion into clarity, and potential into results.
